Set up for shower

Do we want to have a set table like below or should we just have a casual setting where people can sit wherever they want? maybe we can set up both, so we have a formal table for gifts or something as a focal point and then let everyone sit where they want to. The tables I have are rectangular, and we can set them up on the patio by the pool or possibly inside.
